The Westmount Window is a publication of the Westmount Community League.
100% of the work is contributed by volunteer writers, editors, and designers from the neighbourhood — and made financially possible by our business neighbours.
Westmount is a neighbourhood in Edmonton, Canada, on the northwestern shoulder of the City core. We're home to a vibrant mix of heritage homes, infill, multifamily living, businesses, services, hospitality, schools, and beautiful old trees.
Our origin as a streetcar suburb in the early 1910s remains part of the fabric of Westmount, in our unusually strong sense of history, place, and connection.
The Westmount Window tells the stories of the people who live, work, play, and serve in our community.
Community-building begins with hearing each other's stories. As the Senegalese conservationist, Baba Dioum said: "We will conserve only what we love; we will love only what we understand; and we will understand only what we are taught."
